Bitesize Prediction: Livingston vs Motherwell – 24/05/23

Market: Under 3.5 goals

Odds: 2/7 @

Looking to make it four Premiership victories on the bounce in midweek, Motherwell will make the trip to the Almondvale Stadium when they meet Livingston on Wednesday night.

Starting with the hosts, managing to make a much-welcomed return to winning ways over the weekend, Livingston will simply be hoping to find some stability over their final two Premiership appearances. Drawing a line under their three-match losing run and eventually cruising their way to top-flight safety, David Martindale’s side should at least be boosted by their continued success on home soil. Last seen a few days ago claiming a 2-1 victory against Dundee United, the Lions have now won each of their previous three Premiership showdowns at the Almondvale Stadium. With that run highlighted by a 2-0 win against St. Johnstone on April 15th, Livingston will be looking for a repeat display on Wednesday night. Along with mustering 10 points from just their last four matchups in West Lothian, it is worth noting that Martindale’s side have seen six of their previous seven home fixtures finish with under 3.5 goals.

As for the visitors, while Motherwell might have been disappointed to have settled for a bottom-half finish this season, the Steelmen are signing off the 2022/23 campaign with a real flurry. Last seen over the weekend picking up a 1-0 win at home against Ross County, Stuart Kettlewell’s side have won each of their last three appearances against top-flight opposition by an aggregate score of 5-0. Likewise, signing off April with a 1-1 draw against Scottish heavyweights Celtic, the Lankarshire-based outfit have gained plenty of praise for their recent defensive displays. Along with recording three Premiership clean sheets on the bounce for the first time this season, Motherwell will be desperate to extend on their purple patch in midweek. Likewise, on a run that stems all the way back to February 11th, Kettlewell’s men are unbeaten in each of their previous five appearances away from Fir Park. In what could be a low-scoring affair in midweek, we are expecting under 3.5 goals.

Bet: Under 3.5 goals at Livingston vs Motherwell 2/7 for Wednesday s Scottish Premiership matchup @
